Wing Chun Society

Syllabus

The syllabus should be used as a general guide to progress under normal conditions.  Remember that each individual will learn at a different pace depending on factors such as innate talent, flexibility, coordination, and willingness to take instruction, however, the absolutely most important factor which determines how well an individual will progress is their attitude to training.  A person who trains regularly, thoughtfully, and is willing to take instruction will almost always make much better progress than a person with more natural coordination who only trains sporadically or does not always take in what is taught.

The club teaches in a friendly, informal atmosphere and we're not saying you won't get anything out of Wing Chun unless you buckle down and devote your life to it - more that you will get out what you put in, and if you turn up to train regularly you'll make more friends, have more fun, and your Wing Chun will benefit enormously.

The 'years' below aren't related to University years (First year, third year et c.). They are a good indication of what you should be capable of if you have trained regularly.  If you are unable to attend the holiday sessions, adjust accordingly.
