Wing Chun First Form: "Siu-lim-tao" or "Little Idea Form"
Important: The descriptions and illustrations of the movements
of Siu-lim-tao are intended as a reference and aide-mémoire
to those learning the form at the University of Nottingham Wing Chun
Society under the guidance of a qualified instructor. The form
is a set of dynamic movements (rather than a series of static
positions) and cannot be learned effectively solely from the static
descriptions and illustrations below.

Siu-lim-tao:
Section 1: 6 movements
1. Double Rising Hands (Tok Sau)
2. Bring hands back and Sink down
3. Open to Goat stance (Yee Jee Kim Yeung Ma)
4. Cross hands down [left over right]
5. Cross hands up [right over left]
6. Bring hands back
Section 2: 8 movements
1. Left Inner-gate punch
2. Open hand to Relaxed Hand position
3. Circle hand (Huen Sau)
4. Bring hand back
Repeat on the right
Section 3: 40 movements
1. Left Palm Up Hand (Tan Sau) out
2. Circle hand into Spade Hand (Chang Sau)
3. Guard Hand (Wu Sau) back
Repeat the next 4 movements 3 times in sequence
1. Drop hand to Hook Hand (Fook Sau)
2. Push out
3. Circle hand into Spade Hand (Chang Sau)
4. Guarding Hand (Wu Sau) back
1. Slapping Hand (Pak Sau) [Relaxed]
2. Centre palm hit [Relaxed]
